EZ-DB2 Product Solutions
EZ-DB2 is an integrated family of Products
designed to assist users of DB2 in the mainframe OS/390
and z/OS environments in analyzing and optimizing their
SQL no matter where the SQL originates from.
EZ-DB2 is the only current DB2 toolset for
z/OS that lets you Capture and Consolidate Dynamic and Static
SQL Statements, even SQL originating from DDF applications.
EZ-DB2 is designed to be workload-centric.
That is, the analysis and optimization processes are designed
to consider the needs of the workload as a whole rather than focusing
on individual Plans, Programs or SQL statements.
EZ-Tracer
& EZ-Cache makes it easy for
the DBA to identify and tune the "top n" SQL in the
environment, and includes a unique consolidation feature that
recognises essentially the same SQL (where only literal values
are different).
EZ-SQL
Warehouse Create a repository of
SQL activity and Catalog Statistics to enable detailed Performance
Analysis and Optimization
EZ-Impact
Analyzer allows the DBA to make changes
without fear of unexpected performance degradation by showing
in advance the effect of changes such as Reorg, Runstats, Application
Migration, or new DB2 release. See in advance the effect on access
paths and costs for both static and dynamic SQL.
EZ-Alerts
identifies SQL that breach certain
user defined rules, such as List Prefetch, Table Scan etc. Prevent
undesirable SQL being migrated to production.
EZ-Index
Analyzer identifies how well the
SQL workload is served by the existing index design. Reports where
new or modified indexes would better serve the SQL, or where better
choice of predicates would make more efficient use of the existing
indexes. Also reports indexes not used at all.
EZ-XOP
Index Optimizer
starting from a "clean
slate", derives the optimum index design for the SQL workload.
Using unique patented methodology shows the recommended index
design and for each SQL shows the new access path and cost saving
with the recommended indexes compared to the current index design.
EZ-Stats
easily copy statistics between DB2 subsystems.
View, Edit, Archive and Restore statistics.
