CA-IDMS Developer Toolset

The CA-IDMS Developer Toolset, includes a number of add-on components to CA-IDMS, to aid Programmers and DBA's.

SchemaDraw - Allows you to draw Bachman Schema Diagrams, based on the IDMS Schema Report. It also allows to automatically update your diagrams when the schema changes, by comparing the old and new schemas.

SchemaView - Gives the programmer a quick and easy online view of the schema structure. An indespensible tool that does away with the need for each programmer to have their own copy of a printed Bachman diagram.

GENX - Expands the capabilities of ADSG/ADSC and allows the programmer to view process module source and IDD records and locate and correct any source errors in a user friendly environment.

TEDIT/TEW - is a powerful on-line text editor for editing textual data and entities stored in the integrated data dictionary (IDD). TEW is an ISPF-like, menu-driven environment for CA-IDMS/ADS programmers - both developers and DBAs.

SOL - Sort-On-Line is an online sorting facility for the IDMS-DC/UCF environment. SOL provides a significant extension to traditional transaction processing by enabling online application programs to efficiently sort data in any order.

OUG - is a dictionary driven Help facility that provides users with an easy mechanism to document their systems. It allows users to view documentation about the dialogs in a system as well as the map data fields associated with the dialogs.
